Paper trading is practicing trades with simulated money instead of real capital. You get the mechanics of entries, exits, and position sizing, without the financial risk of a live account.

Why paper trade first?

• Learn the platform: buttons, order types, and how fills work.
• Test a strategy: see if your rules hold up over many trades.
• Build discipline: journal what you did and why before risking dollars.

Paper trading does not replicate emotions, slippage, or exact live fills. It is a training step, not a guarantee of live results.
